Extra is an energetic and lyrical hip hop artist that has a creative passion for music. Growing up as a first-generation Nigerian rapper in California, his music style was influenced by J. Cole, Jay-Z and Kendrick Lamar. These musicians helped Extra find his sound in rap, R&B and Hip Hop. He found confidence to pursue his passion for this type of music in his freshman year of college at Cal State, Bernardino where he met a producer that encouraged him to make his own beats. Now extra has come so far in his music career that he has released two different visual series and released 10 music videos. Additionally, he has started to perform at different venues and hosts his own events with other artists. Extra’s growth has been tremendous from starting to experiment with beats to now performing his beats at venues!
Extra works with LNG Entertainment where they produce all his tracks. DJ Ronnie G and T1 make all Extra’s beats along with mix and master his songs. He has just released a new single this past December 2021 called “Can We Live” which was created for a Juneteenth performance that Extra had hosted. Additionally, he is working on Volume two of both his visual series called “Extra Extra Read All About it” and “Ya Beat Iz Not Safe”.
One special note Extra liked to talk about is how interactive and personal he is with his fans. He likes to make a point to spend time with them due to their appreciation of his art and connection he holds to a high standard.
